WWWWW // TACOS A GO GO

Wrapping up a weekend full of fireworks, freedom and food, I couldn't help but make this WWWWW all about the good ole USA from Texans' perspective. Blue jean, tacos and red lipsticks.  

The best red, white and blue combo in my humble opinion is cut-off blue jeans shorts, white tee and red firecracker lips. I happen to find this perfect tank at Marshall's the print is a perfect salute to the USA that can last year round. Also, a great deniem shirt never hurt, wrap that bad boy around your waist to hide the extra pudding, burger or dog that you might of scarfed down without realizing. Who keeps count on a holiday anyway?!

When your from Texas nothing says home like a taco. Some babies drink milk from birth, us Texans we like our tacos. 

WHO (to go with) // If you go on off hours you can totally go with 8+ easy, but during high traffic hours I'd stick to 4 or less.  Great stop for out-of-towners or close compadres. 

WHAT (to get) // oh me gee the breakfast tacos are insane. I got the sausage and jalapeños and then sausage and cheese. Both were perfect. Late at night after a rockin' time at the continental club I go with the mushroom and spinach quesadilla and lots of chips and queso. I can't help it I love melted cheese. 

WHEN (to go) //  mornings for the tacos or on the weekends after midnight. 

WHERE (is It) // TACOS A GO GO there are two locations 2902 White Oak Dr. Houston, 77007 (where photos were taken) or 3704 Main St. Houston, 77002 (the after the party spot)

WHY (to go) // Because its a proven fact tacos make life better and when you get an added salsa bar its just spectacular.  And when its this hot in houston you need life to feel a spectacular.

I hope you felt the my love for America because we live in the BEST country where freedom and faith can coincide.  Thanks to all those that fight for our freedom, you are not forgotten we salute you.

wwwww // DOUBLE TROUBLE

Another day, another meeting... another reason for a cute outfit. You feel me? In the blistering heat breathable attire is key but you have to be prepared for the blast of air-conditioning that will hit you on arrival to any indoor space. So when i'm not feeling like schlepping a sweater, jeans, shorts sleeves and sandals are my go to.  

Now sometimes life doesn't present you with a nice cool air-conditioned space and you have to get creative on how to minimize those sweaty armpits. I find that a spontaneous fan dance for airflow never hurt no body.

WHO (to go with) // 2-4ppl but anyone you fancy  

WHAT (to get) // any cocktail is great but my go-to is a bloody mary (virgin or not) and my girl Molone ( she's the cool one in the dreads below)  knocks it out of the park. Seriously one of the best ones ever.  I'm not sure if the perfect amount of tang, spice, lime or just the TLC that Malone brings but yummy yummy in my tummy. She's there M, W, TH mornings and Sat afternoons. You can also get a delicious flat white as well in a mug that doesn't look like the guy's next to you. So you can be assured you won't get them mix up and get cooties.  You're welcome.

WHEN (to go) //  late-mornings around 10am &  and most evenings. Th-Sat nights will most definitely  be packed.  

WHERE (is It) // DOUBLE TROUBLE is a Costa Rica meets city space offering gourmet coffee alongside artisanal cocktail. 3622 Main St, Houston, TX 77006  M-F 7am-2am Sat 8:30am-2am Sun 8:30am-8pm

WHY (to go) // Because sometimes you need to go to a place that make you feel cool and not leave you feeling bad that you spent money on a crappy drink. Well, worth it for fellowship, photos, bloody marys and fun.

WWWWW // BOOMTOWN COFFEE

Recently, in a brainstorm sesh with my girl B an idea was birthed.  A blog with all my favorites and the who, what, when where and whys behind it. Hence, the wwwww.  Included in all that goodness is my latest obsessions in attire. 

Joining me in this adventure is none other then the amazing Bueno Brandi. Yup she is all things cool, from style to hair to interesting finds. Full of spunk and love. Check out her weekly favorites at The Bueno Blog 

So here we go.

WHO (to go with) // Anyone that loves good coffee.  

WHAT (to get) // oh my gosh their flat whites are on point. I like the taste of expresso but loathe it when its too milky. This is the perfect ratio of expresso to milk.  Also, their almond croissants don't make you sad. 

WHEN (to go) // love mid-mornings around 9am not to busy but not eerily quiet. Also its a perfect stop for a mid-afternoon pick me up. 

WHERE (is It) // BOOMTOWN COFFEE  this little gem is in the heights. It's an open space that happens to be right next door to a cigar shop which gives it a manly smell of cigars and caffeine. Men will love it, as do I.  242 w. 19th street   open m-f 7-7pm

WHY (to go) // One of my favorite things in life is coffee.  Life just is better with a delicious cup of joe in hand. So for the days that i'm running out the door or out on the go,  BoomTown hits the spot.  Its also a great space for working on your laptop or meeting up with a friend.  Speaking of friends, B and I met up for fuel, fellowship and fun just yesterday. Good times and Good vibes, always.
